REVIEW: FAIR NATURALLY MANGO & SAFFLOWER RANGE

Fair Naturally - Mango & Safflower Body Wash (L)
Fair Naturally - Mango & Safflower Body Moisturiser (R)

These two were little stocking presents from a company I had heard of, but never tried.
I have such sensitive skin I normally have to use unfragranced dermatalogical products which gets really boring - so you can imagine how happy I was when I used these and my skin didn't react at all! I don't know whether it's because of all the organic/natural products but they left my skin feeling soft and moisturised (not to mention smelling good enough to eat...) with no reaction in sight! You can probably tell I'm quite smitten...
I can't wait to try some of the other ranges (hello bergamot and shea!) which you can check out here. Don't forget, it's Fairtrade Fortnight next month so show your support by checking out their website, spoiling yourself (guilt-free!) with some Fairtrade treats and signing their petition :)

REVIEW: RIMMEL FIX & PERFECT PRIMER AND RIMMEL WAKE ME UP FOUNDATION

I should probably start by confessing that I am a big Rimmel fan - I've used their foundation for as long as I can remember. Don't get me wrong, I know that Rimmel products can't really compete with some of the more high-end make up brands like Clinique, but I think that it is VERY good for the price and if you're shopping for make-up on a budget, you'd be hard pressed to beat Rimmel.

Rimmel Match Perfection Fix & Perfect Primer (L)
Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation 200 (R)

Rimmel Match Perfection Fix & Perfect Primer: I'm not really big primer fan, and I only bought this because it was 2 for £10 on Rimmel in Superdrug, but I cannot emphasise just how happy I am that I tried it. I love it and it has quickly become an "I-can't-live-without" staple of my make-up bag. A little bit goes quite a long way and, once on, it it makes my skin lovely and soft. It really does seem to smooth and resurface as it claims to on the bottle. I would also say that it does make my skin look a little brighter and on a couple of occasions I've actually gone out of the house in just this primer with no other make-up on. Okay so it was just down to my local shop but still, me going outside without foundation on is a big deal!!! When worn with foundation it definitely makes my make-up stay on longer, I can normally go through a whole day without needing to touch up if I'm using this as a base. I have tried the Laura Mercier Primer that is so popular and it's true, I loved it, but this little Rimmel is a fraction of the price and does the job almost as well.

Rimmel Wake Me Up Make Up Foundation (200): When it comes to foundation, I've got to admit, I tend to stick to what I know. Whilst there's always the possibility of finding something better there's also a huge chance it will be worse - for me, foundation is too important to take risks with. That said, the possibility of finding something better finally pushed me to try the new Rimmel Wake Me Up Foundation, largely based on the rave reviews it seemed to have from the blogosphere. And they're not wrong! It's really a great foundation, light and dewy, whilst also giving great coverage and, when used with the primer, it will last all day. If you look closely, it is quite shimmery, but this doesn't really bother me - especially with Christmas round the corner!!! The only thing I would say is that the shades are a little different compared to previous Rimmel foundations. I found that the 200 shade in this one is slightly darker compared to the 200 shade in the Rimmel Lasting Finish 16 hour Foundation so make sure you check before you buy and don't just presume that you'll be the same shade!!!

A little introduction...

I thought rather than just jumping into the world of blogging feet first, I'd start off with a little introductory post saying hello :)

This is my first blog so I'm still only just getting to grips with blogging but hopefully I'll start getting the hang of it soon! I spend hours trawling other people's blogs so I figured it was about time that I gave it a go myself. As you can probably tell from the blog title, this is going to be a fashion and beauty blog, hardly ground-breaking but it's what I love and everyone always says, stick to what you know and love.

This blog is just intended to be an outlet for me to share the products and clothes that I'm mad about, and to hopefully connect with other bloggers who are as into fashion and beauty as I am. I in no way represent anyone, anywhere, and the opinions that are on this blog are mine and mine alone and will always be 100% honest.

Happy blogging!
